Students will learn to locate the Appalachian and Rocky Mountains, and the 5 major U.S. rivers--Mississippi, Ohio, Rio Grande, Hudson, and Colorado.
Students will learn how to use lines of latitude, lines of longitude, equator, and Prime Meridian to locate places on a map.
Famous Americans
Students will learn about 9 famous Americans and how they impacted American history. They will study the lives of the following historical figures--Paul Revere, Frederick Douglass, Mary McLeod Bethune, Thurgood Marshall, Susan B. Anthony, Lyndon B. Johnson, Franklin & Eleanor Roosevelt, and Cesar Chavez.
Economics
Students will learn about natural, human, and capital resources, goods and services, producers and consumers, supply and demand, and opportunity cost.
Ancient Greece & U.S. Government
Students will learn about how ancient Greece influenced the formation of the U.S. government.
Students will study the 3 branches of the federal, state, and local governments.
